Terms of service

The terms for using Baggle in your store.

Last updated September 25, 2026

Who these terms cover

These terms govern your use of Baggle: Unauthorized Resellers (“Baggle”, the “App”), provided by [Company legal name] (“we”). Installing the App from the Shopify App Store means the merchant (“you”) agrees to them. Section 9 is the data processing agreement between you and us.

1. The service

The App scores each order in your Shopify store for signs of reseller activity and shows you the result, with the rules that fired, the numbers behind them and the earlier orders they were based on. If you switch tagging on, it adds a tag to flagged live orders in Shopify. When you confirm an order is a reseller, it puts that order’s fulfillment on hold in Shopify so it can’t ship; you can turn this off in Settings. The App never cancels, refunds or edits orders, and never contacts your customers.

2. Your responsibilities

  • The App’s verdicts are indications, not proof. You are responsible for any decision you take about an order or a customer.
  • You will use the App only to prevent abuse of your own store, in line with your own privacy policy and applicable law.
  • You will keep your Shopify staff accounts secure; anyone with access to your admin can use the App.

3. Fees

The App has one plan, billed through Shopify Billing on your Shopify invoice, with a 7-day free trial. It starts at $39 per 30-day period and moves up a band with the number of orders the App reviews in that period, never above $199. The current bands are on the pricing section and the App’s Subscription page. You can cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period. Prices may change with 30 days’ notice inside the App.

4. Availability

We aim to score orders within seconds of receiving them from Shopify, but the App is provided as is, without a guaranteed uptime. Scheduled maintenance is announced inside the App where practical.

5. Intellectual property

We own the App and its detection logic. You own your store’s data. You grant us the licence needed to process it as described in the Privacy policy and Section 9, and nothing more.

6. Termination

You end these terms by uninstalling the App. We may suspend or terminate the service for misuse, non-payment, or if Shopify requires it, with notice where possible. On termination we delete your store’s data as described in the Privacy policy.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost sales resulting from a decision you take about a flagged order, and our total liability under these terms is limited to the fees you paid for the App in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [Country / state]. Disputes are resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

9. Data processing agreement

For personal data of your customers that the App processes, you are the controller and we are the processor. The following terms apply.

  • Subject matter and purpose: the order data listed in the Privacy policy, processed only to detect reseller activity in your store and show you the results.
  • Instructions: we process the data only on your documented instructions, which are these terms, the Privacy policy, and the settings you choose in the App.
  • Confidentiality: staff with access to the data are bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Security: encryption in transit and at rest, access control with two-factor authentication, and access logging.
  • Subprocessors: Shopify Inc., Fly.io and TypeSafe. We will inform you inside the App at least 30 days before adding a subprocessor, and you may terminate if you object.
  • Assistance: we help you respond to customers’ data requests and, where relevant, to data protection impact assessments, using the tools inside the App and Shopify’s compliance webhooks.
  • Breach notification: we notify you without undue delay, and in any case within 72 hours of confirming a personal data breach affecting your store, with what happened, what data was involved, and what we are doing about it.
  • Deletion: all your data is deleted on uninstall and on request, and order rows older than 60 days are purged automatically.
  • Audit: on reasonable request we provide the information needed to demonstrate compliance with this section.
  • Transfers: data is stored in the Fly.io region chosen for the App; any transfer outside that region is covered by the provider’s standard contractual safeguards.
