Address clusters

See the building, not just the order.

Resellers spread orders across emails, names and spellings of the same door. Baggle normalizes every address into one building key, so the seventeen orders to Unit 3B show up as one cluster with a risk bucket and a timeline, not seventeen unrelated customers.

AI review · optional

When the rules can’t tell, ask a second reader.

Switch on AI review and every order is also read by Jev, a calibrated model from TypeSafe. It does not write text. It is handed the order and its linked history and answers eight typed yes/no questions with a probability each: is this a forwarder address? does the name read like a trading business? are these separate household members?

  • Off by default. Nothing leaves your store until you switch it on.
  • A plausible household lowers the score instead of raising it.
  • Answers combine with the rules, or decide alone. Your choice per store.
Control

Your partners stay out of the queue. Your thresholds, your call.

Wholesale accounts and distributors you already know are whitelisted by address or email and skip the rules entirely. Every threshold has a live 30-day simulation, so you see how many orders a change would flag before you save it.

How does Baggle decide an order is a reseller?

Every order is normalized (address, email, name, phone) and linked to the last 90 days of orders that share any of them. Nine plain-English rules read that history: five or more emails to one address in a week, one name using many emails, fifty-plus units to one address in a month, a coupon farmed across linked orders, and so on. Each rule has a weight; one strong hit or several weak ones combine into a score, and the score becomes Likely reseller, Worth a look, or Looks fine.

Why was an order flagged when the customer looks normal?

Open the order and read the “Why” card. Every rule that fired shows the numbers it was computed from and the earlier orders it counted. If the linked orders are a family, a gift, or a wholesale account you know, dismiss the flag or whitelist the address under Authorized partners. Your verdict is stored and tunes future thresholds.

Does the app change anything in my store automatically?

Only one thing, and only when you switch it on: adding a tag (default reseller-suspect) to a live order that scores Likely reseller. Nothing is cancelled, held, or refunded. Orders from the install-time history scan are never tagged.

What data is stored, and for how long?

Ninety days of normalized order rows (hashed keys plus the display name, email and address), the per-order decision with its numbers, and your review verdicts. Older rows roll off. Uninstalling deletes everything for your store, and customer redaction requests from Shopify are honoured.

Which countries are supported?

Address normalization is written and tested for the United States and Canada. Orders from other countries are still scored, but different spellings of the same address may not collapse into one cluster yet.

Is the AI review required?

No. AI review is off by default and the nine rules decide on their own. When you switch it on, each order is also read by Jev, a calibrated model from TypeSafe, which answers eight typed yes/no questions and returns a probability for each. You can turn it off again at any time from Settings.

What happens if the history scan fails?

Press “Scan again” on the Overview. Baggle asks Shopify for a fresh export of your last 90 days and rescores everything. If it fails twice, message support with your store domain and we will look at the export logs.
